Kobani Acts (events of October 6-7)
Following the attack of ISIL on Kobani in October 2014, there were widespread protests against ISIL and the Turkish government. The anger of activists demanding the opening of an aid corridor for the YPG forces increased upon claims that Turkey was providing support for ISIL. The state responded very strongly to the protests. With opposing civilians taking to the streets, dozens of people lost their lives during the clashes. Demonstrations took place in many districts of Istanbul, and lasted for days in areas intensely populated by Kurds and Alewis, particularly in the Okmeydani and Gazi neighborhoods.

Kobani Protestoları (6-7 Ekim olayları)
Ekim 2014te IŞİD’in Kobane’ye saldırması ile birlikte Türkiye’nin birçok yerinde Işid ve Türk hükümeti protesto edildi. YPG güçleri için yardım koridorunun açılmasını isteyen eylemcilerin öfkesi, Türkiye’nin Işid’e yardım ettiği duyumları üzerine arttı. Devlet protestolara çok sert karşılık verdi. Karşıt görüşlü sivillerin de sokağa çıkmaya başlaması ile onlarca kişi çatışmalar sırasında hayatını kaybetti. İstanbul’un da birçok semtinde eylemler gerçekleştirildi, Okmeydanı ve Gazi Mahallesi gibi Kürt ve Alevi nüfusunun yoğun olarak yaşadığı bölgelerde eylemler günlerce sürdü.
